Computerized Adaptive Testing
Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) is a form of computer-based test that adapts to the test taker’s ability level in real-time. Instead of every test-taker answering the same fixed set of questions, the test system selects questions dynamically based on their performance on previous items. CAT uses intelligent algorithms to create a personalized, efficient, and highly precise assessment by tailoring the difficulty of questions to each individual test-taker’s performance in real time.

Linear Testing
A linear test is an assessment in which all test-takers receive the same, predetermined set of questions in a fixed order.
The content, number of items, and sequence are decided before the test is administered and do not change based on a test-taker’s performance.
Every person taking the test essentially follows the same linear path from the first question to the last.
